Bearing ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Bearing profit analytics platform, available at trybearing.app. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information from third-party services you connect:

• Account information — name, email address, and password when you register.
• Shopify store data — order history, product data, and revenue figures from your connected Shopify store(s), accessed via the Shopify API.
• Ad platform data — ad spend, campaign performance, and account identifiers from platforms you connect, including Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and X. This data is accessed via OAuth authorization you explicitly grant and is used solely to display analytics within Bearing.
• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and error logs, used to improve the product.

How We Use Google User Data

When you connect Google Ads, Bearing uses OAuth 2.0 to request read access to your Google Ads account. We use this access solely to:

• Retrieve ad spend and campaign performance data for display in your Bearing dashboard.
• Calculate blended ROAS and net profit figures across your connected ad accounts.

We do not share your Google Ads data with third parties, use it to serve advertising, or use it for any purpose beyond operating Bearing for your account. Google user data is never used to train machine learning models. Our use of data received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How We Use Your Information

• To operate and provide the Bearing platform and its analytics features.
• To generate profit forecasts, campaign reports, and dashboards.
• To send transactional emails (account setup, password reset, team invitations).
• To diagnose and fix bugs and improve service reliability.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — infrastructure providers (hosting, databases, error monitoring) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
• Business transfer — in connection with a merger or acquisition, with notice to affected users.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Ad platform data synced from Google Ads and other connected platforms is retained for up to 24 months to support historical reporting. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage of credentials and OAuth tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights

You may:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us.
• Revoke OAuth access for any connected platform at any time through Settings → Integrations or through the platform's own account settings.
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Cookies

Bearing uses session cookies for authentication and local storage to cache dashboard preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of Bearing after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
